Measurable Goal:

1.The average percent proficient of All Students in Math will increase from 14% in 2021 to 24%  in 2022 as measured by the MCA/MTAS.
2. The average percent proficient of All Students in Reading will increase from 26%  in 2021 to 36%  in 2022 as measured by the MCA/MTAS.

  • September/October- School wide definition of inquiry, initial launch of inquiry based math resource

  • November/December- Inquiry within the planners, implementation of inquiry math resource

  • November/December/January- weekly review of inquiry through purposeful questions within math and unit planners

  • February- Fidelity Check- DOK within an inquiry lesson and thinking maps

  • March/April-weekly review of inquiry through purposeful questions within math and unit planners

  • May- Fidelity Check- DOK within an inquiry lesson

  • Small group and individual instruction, using a variety of grouping strategies, most often with flexible groups formed and instruction targeted to children’s observed and assessed needs in specific aspects of literacy development MDE 

  • Thinking Maps

  • August- launch during workshop week

  • September-October- one Thinking Map is being taught in all grade levels

  • October/November- routines and rituals of getting in to small group

  • October- PD day Independent Small Groups (working independently)

  • November- review in BLT on small groups with connections to WIN time

  • December/January- implementation of small groups

  • February- Fidelity Check- small groups and thinking maps

  • March/April- differentiated small group instruction

  • May- Fidelity Check- small groups and thinking maps
