Robbinsdale Area Schools is hosting a new event designed to bring students, families, staff and district leaders together to connect with one another.
The Great Rdale Get-Together is an extension of the Board of Education’s “community connect” committee.
Participants can enjoy games, dance to the cool tunes of a local DJ, kiddos (and adults) can get their faces painted, there will be live entertainment and so much more.
Plus, there will be give-aways, food trucks and community education mini-classes – all happening outside in the fresh autumn air. The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 7, at Lakeview Terrace Park in Robbinsdale (at the south end of Crystal Lake).
The Great Rdale Get Together will be a great time for families to connect with each other and with district staff.
Other activities include an obstacle course, yoga, fun with bubbles and chalk, t-ball, frisbee, soccer, and kickball. Early Learning staff will be creating a group art mural with families and will provide other activities for toddlers and preschoolers. The community can also enjoy a performance by a local hip hop dance group.
The Rdale School Board will be collecting winter clothing items at the event. Needed items include:
- Leggings and sweatpants (stretch waistbands). Darker colors are preferred. Sizes 8, 10, 12, 14 & 16.
- Snow boots - All sizes
