This week, the Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030 process continued to grow deeper and more inclusive as we held another targeted community engagement event and wrapped up student conversations at Cooper High School.

📍 Community Engagement Event:

✔ March 20 – Sandburg Middle School

📍 Student Engagement at Cooper High School:

✔ March 18-19 – Final grade-level meetings

Superintendent Dr. Teri Staloch shared her gratitude for this week's participants: "Every conversation—whether with staff, families, or students—adds another important layer to our understanding of what our schools need. We are building a shared vision, one voice at a time."

The team will hear directly from students, explore the student experience, and dive into important topics like safety and security, belonging, and well-being in our schools.

Two Distinct but Interconnected Efforts

Just as a reminder, Rdale is working on two critical efforts that, while separate, must align for long-term success:

🔹 Budget deficit and stabilization: The district must cut $21 million for the 2025-26 school year to restore financial stability.
🔹 Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030: A long-term planning initiative to create a strong, sustainable, and competitive future for our district.

Superintendent Dr. Teri Staloch emphasized the relationship between these efforts: "We can’t separate today’s financial decisions from tomorrow’s vision. These conversations help ensure our future planning is rooted in both reality and possibility."
